Coerver ACT Kid Selected for Junior Matildas
Congratulations to Coerver ACT Kid Pearl Tein for being selected for the upcoming Junior Matildas Training Camp on the Gold Coast. This Training Camp will bring together the best U17 girls from across Australia in preparation for future Asian qualifiers.
When asked how being a Coerver Kid had supported her development, Pearl said “Over the 6 years I’ve participated in various Coerver Coaching programs, I’ve enjoyed great coaching, made lasting friendships and competed and trained in several countries, which has prepared me well for future opportunities. Coerver Coaching has been influential in the development of my technical skills, especially my 1v1s.”
Coerver Coaching ACT Technical Director Adrian Haynes said “It has been a pleasure coaching Pearl using the Coerver© Coaching methodology since she was very young, starting to play. Pearl displayed a natural talent for football, but like so many young players needed significant assistance with the technical skills component of her game. Pearl always worked extremely hard in sessions and I think had a secret desire to beat her older brother Jai (who has now gone on to become a Coerver© Coach!) at every single Coerver© Ball Mastery Move, Game Move or drill! To see Pearl be selected in the Junior Matildas training camp is very gratifying for all of us at Coerver© Coaching ACT. It is wonderful to see her take this first step towards national team representation. It reminds me very much of the pathway that Ellie Carpenter trod before her, as Ellie established her firm technical foundation over a number of years with Coerver© Coaching ACT before moving onto representative teams and ultimately the Matildas. I personally wish Pearl all of the success in the world with her burgeoning football career and look forward to following her representative progress.”
We wish Pearl well!
